In 1993, Florida Statute 381.0406 established Rural Health Networks to address three fundamental problems:
• Inadequate funding and services
• Healthcare provider and workforce shortage
• Multiple chronic illnesses and risk factors
The St Johns River Rural Health Network is one of nine rural health networks in the state of Florida.
What We Do
• Technical assistance
• Outreach and education
• Studies, surveys, training, planning, and development activities
• Deployment of programs and initiatives
• Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards curriculum and training to champion advocacy
